Manufactured Homes: Space to Adapt to Your Changing Needs

If nothing else, this year will teach us once and for all whether we really like our homes, because we’ve spent a lot more time in them than was anticipated.

Because of the COVID pandemic, our homes have also served as classrooms for our kids, home gyms since we can’t go to the health club, and workspaces for adults now telecommuting instead of heading out to an office.

For manufactured home owners, such conversions have been easier because of the flexible floor plans that allow rooms to become multi-use spaces.

Those that still prefer open floor plans can also find them among the many models offered through Ma Williams. But this year the desire has been for spaces that can be closed off to focus on school or work or something besides kicking back and watching football on TV. You’ll find that many of our homes can accommodate those needs.

And a new model we’ll be unveiling soon will include integrated office space, because it’s our guess that once this pandemic is over, many people will want to continue to work from home rather than face that congested drive back and forth to the office.

Enjoying the Outdoors – While Still Staying Home

The cure for cabin fever is getting outside – but quarantines and everything fun being closed limited the options for many these past months. Many of our manufactured homes offer porches that can serve multiple purposes – and if that’s the only outdoor space available, at least there are ways to make the most of it.

Lunch or dinner outside? Perhaps a barbecue? Card games and trivia games? Or why not plant a small flower or vegetable garden? If you’re in the market for a manufactured home, check out our floor plans that incorporate porch space, always a benefit in our California climate, but never more so than during the past few months.

What Do You Need Your Home to Be?

A home should be more than a place to eat and sleep and keep you out of the rain. It should be a place to feel safe, relaxed and comfortable. It should accommodate the needs of your family, even when those needs change unexpectedly. It should help take the stress out of stressful situations.

Manufactured homes allow your family to customize available floor-plans to what fits best for you, all within a price that is much more affordable than a traditional stick-built home. If you’re still unsure, contact our team and we’d be more than happy to find the best option for your unique family.
