The Cities We Serve: Riverside

Many Ma Williams customers prefer a quieter, rural lifestyle, and we serve many communities where they can live that dream. But we also have customers who like the feel of a bigger city, but who may not be able afford the high cost of living in Los Angeles or San Diego.

To these customers we say, welcome to Riverside.

This metropolis of more than 300,000 residents is located just 60 miles east of Los Angeles. Its colorful history dates back to the 1870s, when it became the birthplace of the California citrus industry. The first orange trees in the state were planted there in 1871. You can still see a remnant of the original grove.

And that is just one claim to fame for this unique, culturally diverse city. The famous Riverside Fox Theater was where the movie classic Gone With the Wind was first screened back in 1939. The March Field Air Museum offers a chance to view some fascinating historical aircraft. Riverside also used to be home to the company that made Dixie Cups; the factory is gone but it left behind the world’s largest Dixie Cup – more than 68 feet tall.

There are many wonderful reasons to move to Riverside: The beautiful surrounding scenery of Box Springs Mountain, Jurupa Hill and Lake Mathews; the University of California, Riverside, with its outstanding science and engineering schools; the annual Festival of Trees, a beloved holiday tradition.

If Riverside sounds like heaven on earth to you, talk to a Ma Williams representative. We’ll answer your questions about this cosmopolitan community, and discuss your manufactured home options.

If you are ever in the market for a manufactured home in Riverside, let Ma Williams help you find the perfect home in the perfect location.
