Using Flowers to Decorate Your Manufactured Home

Summertime means spending more days outside.

But when you’re too busy or have to be indoors, flowers are a great way to brighten up your living space, and bring a little of the beauty of the outdoors into your manufactured home. Not only that, there have been studies that suggests flowers can improve your mood, lower stress levels, and even improve memory!

Sure, you can just put some water in a vase and drop in a few stems, but why not try something more creative? Here are five ideas to get started.

Hanging Planters

They were more popular in the 1970s and 1980s, but we think they’re due for a comeback. You could opt for the traditional woven baskets, or go bolder with geometric shape planters with colors as bold as the blossoms they hold.

Don’t Stop With One Room

A bouquet in the living room or family room is always a welcome sight. But why stop there? Flowers add a lovely decorative touch to a bedroom, a kitchen, even a bathroom. Choose blooms that complement the colors in your décor.

Ditch the Vase

There’s no law that says flowers have to be put in a vase. From wine bottles to teacups, watering cans to crates, boots to birdcages to decanters, there are dozens of ways to display your flowers that enhance their visual appeal.

Window Boxes

Most people use window boxes to brighten up the exterior of their homes. But there’s no law that says you can’t have one inside as well.

Use Dried or Pressed Flowers

The one drawback to real flowers is that they don’t last forever. But many species do not lose their beauty in a dried or pressed flower display.
