Why a Manufactured Home is the Perfect Next Step for Your Growing Family

If you’re starting a family and looking to transition away from unpredictable rent prices to finally own a home, manufactured homes are an excellent affordable option to consider. With a manufactured home, you’ll have the opportunity to own a safe, comfortable and modern space where you can raise your family and create memories that last a lifetime. Additionally, you can choose to build your new home on any piece of land you either currently own or purchase!

Still not convinced? We’ll break down a few common concerns to help answer some of the questions you may have about choosing a manufactured home, and why it’s a great solution for your family.

Why is a manufactured home the best option for my family?

Manufactured homes are not only flexible and affordable for your growing family, but they’re also comfortable, attractively designed, and energy-efficient. You can place a manufactured home anywhere you wish, whether you currently own a piece of land or are searching to purchase a land/home package.

Plus during the buying stage, instead of driving around searching for a specific floor plan or school district in an already existing home, you can save time from your busy schedule and look at your options in one place.

Isn’t it just a mobile home?

No, although it is a common misconception, manufactured and modular homes are not the same as classic mobile homes. In fact, mobile homes have not been constructed since June 15, 1976. Manufactured homes are modern, spacious, and prefer placement on privately own land, rather than in parks. (Although both options are possible!)  Even today the quality amongst manufactures will range.

Ma Williams only offers the top builders in the industry. Come see the quality in Ma Williams homes.

What’s a land/home package?

It describes the process of permanently placing a manufactured home on real property that you own or purchase along with your new home, including concrete walkways or driveways, utilities, garages, wells etc. These projects are afforded excellent terms for financing with construction loans to purchase raw land, and will appreciate in value (like site-built homes) primarily because they are affixed to the property.

What’s the advantage of a land/home package?

The answer is value. You will have the custom manufactured home of your dreams with all the amenities you desire on the property of your choice, for a lot less than it would cost for a comparable site-built home. Plus, if you permanently affix your manufactured or modular home to your property, your new home will appreciate with the real estate market, just like a traditional home.

Will there be enough space for my family?

Floor plans for manufactured homes are spacious and flexible based on your own family’s personal needs and can be customized to fit your family perfectly. For a new and growing family, three and four bedroom options are common, along with at least two bathrooms for you and the kids.

Is a manufactured home something we can afford?

Manufactured homes are almost always lower in cost compared to traditional site-built homes. You have the power to choose a floor plan in your budget, as well as the opportunity to work with a financial advisor to assist you with the best financing and loan options for your family. In addition to financing options, manufactured homes provide additional savings with enhanced energy efficiency from upgraded insulation levels and more efficient heating and cooling systems.
