Skyline Acquires ScotBilt Homes

It’s been a busy few years for Skyline, one of the quality manufactured home providers that work with Ma Williams.

In 2018, the company merged with another prominent manufactured home builder, Champion Homes. The new company, Skyline Champion, became the largest factory-built housing company in the United States, with 36 manufacturing facilities in ten locations across the nation.

Last year, Skyline unveiled a new line of innovative ADUs with movable walls, space-optimized storage towers and other features that maximized comfortable living space within a smaller unit. And just last month, a 2021 survey by Lifestory Research selected Skyline as the most trusted builder among consumers actively shopping for a new factory built home.

Now the company is making headlines again after acquiring ScotBilt Homes, a company that last year shipped more than 1,600 manufactured homes to markets throughout the southeastern United States.

“We believe ScotBilt is an excellent fit given our compatible company cultures and shared values. While working with founder Sam Scott and his team during this transaction, we learned that their work ethic mirrors our core operating principles. Sam Scott has been a pioneer in the manufactured housing industry for more than 50 years and we are fortunate to benefit from the high quality and unique home designs for which ScotBilt is known,” said Skyline Champion President and CEO Mark Yost.

All of these exciting changes offer further proof of why we choose to work with Skyline and other industry-leading manufactured home providers like Silvercrest: our customers deserve the best and this is the best way we know of making sure they get it.

That is also why Ma Williams participates in the Skycare Customer Care Program, which utilizes factory service technicians to complete many of the steps, after delivery and setup, required in the completion of your new Skyline home.
